From Crisis to Commitment: Our Journey Since 1994
Since its inception in 1994, the Thawalama Development Foundation has stood as a beacon of resilience, working tirelessly to protect and uplift Sinhala peasant families in some of the most conflict-affected regions of Sri Lanka.
Born out of a critical need to stabilize the Yan Oya Basin during a time of conflict and displacement, our foundation has grown into a long-standing force for peace, development, and cultural preservation across the Northern, Eastern, and North Central Provinces.
